The stone with the torture of Bainet

A stone shaped torture found in a small town of Bainet specifically in Mougan, a third region of the Bainet Valley.

Bainet is born in 1698 and passed to the rank of commune in 1817. Bainet is located in the department of south-east of Haiti.  A republic of the time for the production of cotton, coffee, pitres, cacao and fishing. But the commune is now resting on fishing and fruits that are already on the verge of disappearing.

Bainet is also famous for artisan products such as bags made with lataniers, baskets etc.

On the tourist side Bainet has dozens of tourist sites that are not operated by the authorities. The tourist sites of Bainet are already about to disappear in nature. Farmers are often recycled at the cutting of trees that protect the sites. Bainet has riches that cannot be found in a commune or another culture. At Bainet, we know each other, we greet each other and it’s our culture.

Tourism could be major for the economy of the municipality. But a town often forgotten.

There are places in Bainet that could make you want to live. In almost every section there are dozens of sites and tourists can come to visit.

Bainet on the resources to be the town, the most coveted in the country. A quiet place, a place where it is possible to speak without fear, a bath and you can go where wants and when you want. You can rub shoulders do not like a very hospitable commune.
